Ronald L. Schroeder Sr., 76, of Milford passed away on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born on August 1, 1948 in Watseka, a son of Charles and Ruth (Carter) Schroeder and they preceded him in death in addition to five brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by two sons, Eric Schroeder of Milford and Ronald (Rhonda) Schroeder Jr. of Bourbonnais; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Ronald served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was an auto mechanic for 35 years and a Certified Nurses Assistant for 22 years. For 71 years, he was a fancy pigeon breeder.
Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Knapp Funeral Home in Milford with Rev. Gary Milton officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Milford with military graveside rites by the Watseka American
