Laura Elizabeth Hoffmann, 102 years old, left this world on February 27, 2025, in Joliet, Illinois.
On Thursday, October 28, 1943, she was joined in marriage to Wayne E. Hoffmann of Cissna Park, Illinois, where she lived most of her adult life. On January 18, 2007, after 63 years of a wonderful shared life, Wayne went home to his Heavenly Father. They were blessed with one daughter, Marsha Smith, widow of Ron Smith, in Plainfield, Illinois. A granddaughter, Dusti Magemeneas, Grandson-in-law, John Magemeneas, and a Grandson, Adam Smith, also survive. Her pride and joy were her six great-grandchildren: Mason, Gloria Lynne, Lydia, and Sylvia Magemeneas; and Connor and Emma Smith.
Laura is also survived by two younger brothers Bob (Norma) Dunbar and Darrell (Diane) Dunbar. Preceded in death also by her parents, Henry and Hazel Dunbar, three infant brothers, one brother, and four sisters.
