SHELDON - Elizabeth A. "Bette" Fesselmeyer, 78, of Sheldon passed away on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025, at her residence.She was born on April 19, 1946, in Fairbury, a daughter of William "Sonny" H. and Waltraud "Wally" (Krummel) Lyon III, and they preceded her in death.Bette married William Fesselmeyer on Oct. 8, 1966, in Watseka, and he survives in Sheldon. Also surviving is one brother, Richard Lyon of Thawville.Bette retired as a legal secretary from Tungate Law Offices. She loved watching NASCAR and enjoyed riverboat gaming. Amongst her greatest treasures were her family and friends.Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Monday, March 17, at the Baier Funeral Home in Watseka. A private graveside service will be held at the Ridgeland Township Cemetery near Thawville, with Joe Hughes officiating.Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
